About | After graduating from the Hotel Management School in Leeuwarden, Arne started his career in the Netherlands. In 2001 he decided to move to China and although he initially only planned to stay there for two years, he ended up living and working in Asia till 2019.
China shaped Arneβs life immensely, leaving only with a 23kg suitcase and returning with a wife, a son, a 40ft container and many years of hospitality experience at the highest level. Besides his career and family life, Arne loves reading and playing tennis, and is delighted his son has taken up the sport.

Achievements | Arne is proud to have opened hotels in remote locations in China, and lead the rebrand of Krasnapolsky to an Anantara hotel. He also looks back fondly on being in charge of a hotel delegations department from 2001 to 2004, where he once met Fidel Castro for 30 minutes in the Presidential Suite.
