About | Born in the rural Pordenone area in Italy, Roberto was sure he wanted to be a hotel manager from a young age. As Italian hotels are usually ran by the owner, he moved to the Netherlands to pursue a career in hospitality. He started as a waiter at the Hilton Amsterdam and slowly worked himself up to become its manager. After over twenty years at the Hilton, he was instrumental of the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, bringing the Hilton’s most premium hotel to Amsterdam. He has overseen both hotels, and managed them with the same zeal and passion that made him climb up the ranks many years ago.
